Our Racing Department is at the heart of HRI and our interface with the racing industry. It has responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Irish racing. Key areas include allocation of race fixtures, programmes, and prize-money. Other responsibilities include registration of horse identification, names, owners, colours, acceptance of entries and declarations, as well as the publication of the racing calander and form book.
Our IT team support the efficient use of Information Technology in order to be fully responsive to the needs of HRI and its customers. From Applications Development, Software Engineering, IT Support roles and Network Management our team provide a rich working environment for anyone looking to build a career in IT with horse racing at its centre.
Our ownership of Leopardstown, Navan, Tipperary and Fairyhouse Racecourses provides fantastic opportunities for people who want to experience a career in the racing industry. The variety from Racecourse Management, Commercial and Operations, Sponsorship, Hospitality, Marketing, PR, Track and Grounds Management leads to an exciting environment to grow your career.
Our Finance Function provides critical support to the industry with opportunities in Procurement, Management and Financial Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Governance, Risk and Internal Audit, and Racecourse Finance.
Our Marketing, Communications and PR team aim to promote horse racing and attract new racegoers via advertising and PR activity as well as supporting racecourse marketing. We also operate a Press Office for the Industry.
Our HR team strives to keep people at the heart of our business. We aim to keep our people motivated and enthusiastic in their roles and in their individual contributions to the industry. We also support Industry Education and Training.
Our Client Accounts Department is responsible for the management of racing accounts and processing transactions, fees and prize-money for owners, trainers, jockeys, agents and valets. Offering an exemplary customer service is a priority.
Our Betting Division is responsible for authorising and monitoring bookmakers at the racecourses. The betting division collects a percentage of betting turnover and repays it to each racecourse. Any queries in relation to lost tickets or customer concerns are managed by this department. A representative of the team is present at every race meeting throughout the country.
Tote Ireland combines Operations Management, Marketing, PR, Accounting and Customer Account Management in a competitive betting landscape. Whether working on the racetrack side or our call centre, Tote Ireland is an exciting business to be part of. Tote Ireland is at the heart of Irish horse racing, providing a wide variety of betting options for all racegoers. All profits made by Tote Ireland are used for the improvement of Irish horse racing.
