"My role involves statutory accounting, company secretarial, risk management, FOI and Data Protection within HRI. Assisted by a small team of dedicated professionals, we ensure that HRI's finances are accounted for effectively and efficiently. There's no typical day with such a varied role and I enjoy working with my colleagues on cross-functional teams and liaising with industry representatives and bodies.  The horse racing and breeding industries are major employers and significant contributors to the economy in Ireland and the finance function within HRI plays an important part in developing and sustaining this industry."

"I work at Leopardstown Racecourse as the Track Foreman. We host 23 race meetings throughout the year which incorporates our four day National Hunt Festival at Christmas and day one of Longines Irish Champions Weekend. Careful planning is required to allow us to produce a well prepared and well presented track for every meeting. There is a great sense of achievement at the end of every meeting when everyone goes home safe and sound and we move on to the next day."

"I am responsible for the credit control function within the Client Accounts department. We strive to provide an efficient, friendly and professional service to all our clients over the phone, in person and via the online system, which gives clients instant access to information on their account and the ability to perform a number of different transactions. I am fortunate to work in a department that fosters and appreciates teamwork. It is interesting, always busy and is an enjoyable place to work. Working alongside motivated and dedicated colleagues in a co-operative environment makes HRI an attractive place of employment."

"As Racing Services Manager, I have responsibility for Horse Racing Ireland's Betting Division and On-Course operations. The Betting Division licences and regulates all on-course bookmakers while On-Course Operations  comprises of the starting stalls and front of stalls team and also covers the photo-finish team and their equipment. A significant amount of pre-planning goes into each race meeting and a seamless execution is always very satisfying. The role is extremely varied and I’m lucky to have such experienced and committed teams to work with."
