Roscommon Racecourse, situated just minutes away from Roscommon town centre on the Castlebar Road, is an extremely popular racetrack in the heart of Ireland. A summer track, Roscommon racecourse caters for all ages with live music, food and drink. Hosting both flat and jump racing, meetings are regularly held in the evening time proving to be popular amongst locals and tourists.

Roscommon's mid-summer Ladies Day takes place on Monday 7th July 2025 and is one to note with a great atmosphere, style and exciting jumps racing.

The course is a right-handed track, of one mile and two furlongs in length with a marked incline to the winning post. With stand-out jump races including the Connaught National Handicap Chase and the Grade 3 Kilbegnet Novice Chase usually held in September the racecourse draws in classy horses along with huge crowds. The Listed Lenebane Stakes, one of Roscommon’s most prestigious flat races entices some of flat racings greatest trainers to take each other on at the track.

From Galway - travel 77km north-east along the N63
From Sligo - travel 84km south-west along the N4 and N61
From Castlebar - travel 85km east along the N60
From Dublin (M50) - travel 145km west along the M4 and M6 N61
By Rail:
Roscommon Town is served by the Dublin (Heuston) to Westport line. The Station is just a short Taxi journey away from the Racecourse and is also located adjacent to a Hotel.
By Air:
Galway Airport and Ireland West Airport Knock are both approximately one hour from Roscommon.
