Navan racecourse 

Navan Racecourse, set in the heart of County Meath, is a renowned left-handed oval track measuring one mile and four furlongs. It is particularly famous for its testing uphill finish over the final two furlongs, making it a favourite among racing fans who come to watch high-quality horses and world-class jockeys in action.

Racing takes place throughout the year at Navan, featuring both flat and national Hunt racing. The racecourse boasts top-class facilities, including a Bar One betting shop, café, the popular Troytown Bar, and the Kilberry Restaurant. With a range of hospitality packages and function suites available, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the track from all parts of the venue.

A highlight on the calendar is the annual Cusack Hotel Group Family Raceday in mid-July. This fun-filled day offers free entry for children under 14 (when accompanied by an adult) and features a wide range of kid-friendly entertainment including face painting, bubble fun, magic shows, and interactive racing experiences, all alongside a thrilling day of racing.

Navan also proudly hosts the third annual Navan Racing Festival in November. This two-day event showcases top-class racing with feature contests like the Bar One Racing Troytown Chase and the Bar One Racing Fortria Chase. The exciting race action, combined with a lively entertainment line-up, makes this a standout event in the Irish racing calendar and a fantastic weekend for fans of the sport.

By Road:
Navan is 48km north-west of Dublin on the N3. The Racecourse itself is on the R162 road.
From the M3, take Junction 8 and 9. From the M2, take the Junction for Slane and Navan.

By Bus:
Buses leave from Busaras (Dublin Central Bus Station) every hour to Navan, stopping about 3km from the course. Taxis are available in Navan town.

By Rail:
Drogheda (24km) is the closest railway station. Pre-arranged taxi to Navan are best advised from there.

By Air:
Dublin airport is 63 km away.
