In 2023, Deloitte produced an independent report on the Social and Economic Impact of Irish Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing. This report showed that the sector, including breeding, training, racing, and ancillary activities, delivered €2.46bn to the economy in direct and stimulated expenditure and supports a total of 30,350 jobs, the majority of which are in rural communities.
This led us to dig deeper and assess the impact of the industry in the counties and regions across Ireland.
