Leopardstown Racecourse has marked the start of a formal stakeholder engagement process with the launch of the Leopardstown Campus Masterplan public survey, to help shape the future of the famous South Dublin venue.

The Masterplan reimagines Leopardstown as a dynamic, year-round destination that brings together sport, entertainment, business and community life, while securing the long-term future of Dublin’s only racecourse.

The Masterplan comes on the back of a very successful Christmas Festival with a total attendance figure of 67,202 over the four days, and similar daily crowds expected to attend the very popular two-day Dublin Racing Festival over the February Bank Holiday weekend.

Speaking at the launch, CEO of HRI Racecourses, Paul Dermody said:

“We wish to transform the Leopardstown Racecourse Campus into a dynamic 365-day destination, evolving into a hub for sport, entertainment and community life in Dublin.

“Our vision is to create a thriving space where people can live, work and play. By enhancing the visitor experience and building on the racecourse’s existing strengths, we aim to further enhance Leopardstown’s position in Irish racing.

“We invite local residents, businesses, key stakeholders and members of the public to share their ideas and vision to inform this Leopardstown Campus Masterplan. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a vibrant and inclusive future for the area. Your voice matters, and we encourage everyone to take part.”

A link to the public survey is available across Leopardstown’s social media channels, or through the dedicated Leopardstown Masterplan webpage: Leopardstown.com/Masterplan.

The stakeholder engagement programme will continue through a series of briefings, workshops and updates as the Masterplan progresses.

Our vision is to create a thriving space where people can live, work and play. By enhancing the visitor experience and building on the racecourse’s existing strengths, we aim to further enhance Leopardstown’s position in Irish racing.
