    We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Engagement Executive to join Horse Racing Ireland’s (HRI) Marketing team on a permanent capacity.

    The successful applicant will oversee the social and engagement strategy for Horse Racing Ireland and manage the portfolio of HRI’s social channels and websites. The role aims to increase dialogue with audiences by producing content posts, engaging with comments and maintaining relationships with our racing fanbase, encourage racing fans to be part of the racing conversation and part of our racing team. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work on campaign planning, content creation and curation.
    • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
    • Manage and maintain HRI’s multiple social channels. Populating with in-house and racecourse content.
    • Manage and maintain HRI’s multiple websites.
    • Ensure direct email communications are delivered correctly and accurately. 
    • Leverage fan engagement to develop customer strategy, segmentation, and targeting.
    • Attract new fans and retain existing audiences.
    • Deliver regular reports and analysis showing campaign results and highlighting key trends.
    • Keep fans engaged both on-track and at home. Helping share their opinions, gain insights, buy tickets and become loyal to the racing brand.
    • Prepare social platform traffic analysis and reports leading to actionable recommendations - Turn data into insights and insights into narratives.
    • Work together with racecourses on their social engagement strategies.
    • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of social media ad platforms with experience of using Facebook Ads Manager and Twitter Ads. 
    • A good understanding of social listening and analytics tools.
    • First-class organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent understanding of PPC, SEO, social media, web analytics and content marketing.
    • A strong passion for social media and digital advertising.
    • Competent in maintaining and publishing through various content management systems.
    • Third-level qualification in Digital Marketing or equivalent.
    • Experience in Channel Management, Content writing and/or Online Advertising would be beneficial
    • A good technical understanding of HTML, Photoshop and emerging digital technologies would be an advantage
    • As racing is a seven-day business, flexibility in relation to working hours is required.
