Much-improved Make A Challenge could be aimed at the first Listed race in Ireland after the resumption of racing, writes Tom Harle.
Tipperary trainer Denis Hogan got plenty out of the gelding in his four-year-old season in 2019, yielding six wins including the Waterford Testimonial Stakes and Joe McGrath Handicap
Make A Challenge last raced in Doha in February and Hogan is open to taking him to the Woodlands Stakes on June 8 at Naas - the day racing is due to resume in Ireland.
“We’ll have a look at the Listed race on the first day at Naas for him, but we could also have a look at that for Sceptical too,” said Hogan.
“It would be a nice starting point for the two of them.
“We’re thinking we’ll definitely run one in Naas, but we’ll look at the ground and you might think Make A Challenge might want a bit of rain. We will see how that goes though.
£2,800 bargain buy Sceptical would be running on turf for the first time having only previously appeared at Dundalk.
Preparations for the resumption of racing continue apace at Naas, who shared an image of their watering work on the track this week.
