Delta Work, ridden by Jack Kennedy, claimed victory in the Savills Chase last month

Savills Chase scorer Delta Work, star mare Apple's Jade and former festival hero Samcro are among ten high-profile entries for Gordon Elliott at Cheltenham Trials day on Saturday, writes Jack Haynes

Delta Work defeated Monalee by a head at Leopardstown last month and is one of nine entries in the £100,000 Paddy Power Cotswold Chase.

The Gigginstown House Stud-owned seven-year-old won the Pertemps Final in 2018 and finished third behind Topofthegame in the RSA Novices' Chase last year.

Delta Work is a general 9-1 chance to win the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup – a race Elliott landed with the Gigginstown-owned Don Cossack in 2016.

Other Cotswold Chase hopefuls include fellow 9-1 Gold Cup chance Santini, last year's Gold Cup third Bristol De Mai, Ladbrokes Trophy hero De Rasher Counter and recent Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase winner Top Ville Ben.

Apple's Jade could take on Stayers' Hurdle hero Paisley Park in a potentially cracking renewal of the galliardhomes.com Cleeve Hurdle.

The eight-year-old mare, who was successful in the Mares' Hurdle three years ago, returned to winning ways this season when an easy winner of the Frank Ward Memorial Hurdle at Leopardstown last month.

She is a 14-1 shot with William Hill, Betfair and Paddy Power to win the Stayers', for which the all-conquering Paisley Park is a warm order at a general 5-4.

Coral Ascot Hurdle hero If The Cap Fits, Relkeel Hurdle winner Summerville Boy and recent Marsh Hurdle runner-up L'Ami Serge are other notable names in the 11-strong entry for the £60,000 contest.

Samcro enjoyed festival glory in the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle two years ago and is an intriguing entry in the 2m4f Timeform Novices' Handicap Chase earlier on the card.

He most recently finished a ten-length second to Faugheen in a Grade 1 event at Limerick over the festive period.

Delta Work is a general 9-1 chance to win the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup – a race Elliott landed with the Gigginstown-owned Don Cossack in 2016.
