Mahon celebrates with jockey Jamie Codd after Envoi Allen's Champion Bumper Festival win in 2019

Some people’s jobs are better than others.

Seainin Mahon has worked hard to get to a privileged position, as a stable lass at Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House stables.

Her pride and joy though, is serving as groom to none other than racing superstar Envoi Allen.

Tasked with picking her GOAT then, there really was only one answer.

It definitely has to be Envoi Allen.

He’s just so striking when you first see him, it’s just wow. The way he walks, the way he carries himself.

He’s just got such a lovely attitude towards everything, he loves his work, he loves life, he’s just so happy all the time.

When he’s racing, he’s a class above everything else. He makes everything look so easy and effortless.

When I was younger I saw Sprinter Sacre at Punchestown one year. I was watching him go around the parade ring and thought ‘wow, that’s a proper horse’.

With Envoi Allen that’s what you see as well. Just a big striking horse who stands out and has a presence about him.

He just travels away, he jumps and then when he’s asked to put his head down and go he does. He doesn’t want to be beaten.

He actually loves the attention as well when he comes back in. All the cameras and the people cheering for him.

He’s a bit of a menace on the yard. He’s very playful in his stable and really inquisitive.

If you stood there long enough he comes up and he nibbles at you, he’s always looking for something to do.

He actually has a ball in his stable that he plays with now and again. You go into the barn and he just stands out with his head above the door, he’s a bit nosey!

When he’s out in the string ride, everybody knows he’s there. He leads the way.

My favourite memory is probably when he won the Champion Bumper [in 2019], that was my first ever Cheltenham winner. It was very special.

He’s not really supposed to be a bumper horse but he showed everyone what he could do.

He’s a bit of a menace on the yard. He’s very playful in his stable and really inquisitive.
