In welcoming the appointment, Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Horse Racing Ireland said: "Carol joins us with valuable Human Resource Management skills and a wealth of experience working as part of a large, diverse company. Carol will be a welcome addition to the team and an asset to the thoroughbred industry as a whole."

Carol Nolan commented: "I am delighted to be joining HRI as Group HR Manager. I'm eager to get started in my new role and excited about the new challenges facing me. I enjoy attending horse racing and this coupled with my experience working in Human Resources leaves me ideally placed to take on this new position. As Group Human Resources Manager, I will be actively involved in every department and I'm looking forward to getting to know the whole team."
