Jack Kennedy performed miracles in the saddle to get Robin Des Mana home in the Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club Only 90 Beginners Chase.
Gordon Elliott's 7-2 chance was in front with just over a circuit to travel when he made a mistake, sending Kennedy out of the side door.
He managed to get back on board, albeit losing several places, but was back in front by the fifth-last.
With favourite Monbeg Chitchat running no sort of race, it was left to Kiera Royale to serve it up to Robin Des Mana, but he showed no ill-effects from his earlier blunder and stuck his neck out to triumph by half a length.
Kennedy said: "I was a little bit embarrassed that I got thrown out of the saddle so I said I'd better try and stay on him!
"It was a silly little mistake and I thought I was gone, but didn't fancy getting galloped on. I was lucky the railing was there as I'd have been gone out of the race and he kept straight and that was a big help.
"I got in underneath the last (fence) and could see the other horse coming to me but he pulled it out."
Rock On Lilly wasn't able to justify market support when her saddle slipped on her Thurles comeback, but she atoned from the front to dispose of Tintown Robin by 10 lengths in the Powerstown Handicap Hurdle.
Trainer Tom Donohue said of the 8-1 winner: "She's a sister to (Saturday's Ladbrokes Trophy winner) Total Recall so I'm hoping she'll be valuable!
"It was funny that the two horses won around the same time and I was praying she would win today. She did it alright and she was happy on the ground."
